Trademarks and independence

Dun & Bradstreet, D&B, D-U-N-S and PAYDEX are trademarks of Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. Meridian Advisor is an independent firm. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an agent or reseller of Dun & Bradstreet. References to D&B products describe services we help clients interact with; they do not imply any partnership.

The D&B account and the D-U-N-S Number belong to the client. We hold no bureau subscription that reads a client's file, we never ask for a client's D&B username or password, and nobody at this firm signs in to D&B on a client's behalf. A client reads their own file and gives us what it says; what we supply is the reading of it against their filings, the correction requests, the plan and the trade reference work.

No guaranteed outcomes

Business credit scores, ratings and reports are produced and controlled by Dun & Bradstreet under their own methodology. Meridian Advisor does not guarantee any score, rating, change to a file, credit or supplier decision, financing approval or terms, or any particular tax result. Fees are for professional services rendered and are never contingent on such an outcome.

Pricing and the Audit Refund Rule

Prices are published as a single base figure per package. The only things that move a price are listed beside it with their amounts: additional legal entities, additional filing states, unreconciled bookkeeping where the engagement depends on reconciled books, and a reduction where a D-U-N-S Number already exists. A computed price never exceeds the published ceiling without a separately agreed scope. If the written Audit report contains no action you can take, the Audit fee is refunded in full within 10 business days of your request. Ask within 30 days of delivery. Scores, ratings and lending decisions are not ours to promise and are not what this rule is about; it is about whether the report gave you something to do. The rule is set out in full in the terms.

We do not currently receive any payment, commission or other benefit from any lender, bureau, credit-builder product or supplier for referring you. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it does.

Capital Workspace

Meridian Advisor is not a lender or loan broker. In the Capital Workspace you choose the program and the institution, complete the lender's forms and submit the application yourself. We compute readiness indicators from your records, sign a written readiness opinion, check your records for consistency and lay out your figures with their sources. We contact no lender, recommend no lender and receive nothing from any lender. Fees are for accounting work performed and never depend on an outcome. Identifiers such as Social Security numbers are never collected or stored.

Commercial credit, not consumer credit repair

Our business credit services concern commercial credit files held on business entities. They are not consumer credit repair, do not alter consumer credit reports, and are not offered under the Credit Repair Organizations Act. Improving a commercial file does not change the personal credit of any owner or guarantor. Most small-business lending continues to require a personal guarantee regardless of the state of the commercial file.

What we will not do

We do not sell, place or broker tradelines. We do not use vendors whose only function is to generate credit reporting. We do not supply shelf corporations or aged entities. We do not alter, fabricate or misrepresent data held by any bureau, and we do not assist any client in doing so.

Meridian Business Health Score

The Meridian Business Health Score is our own proprietary internal 0–100 assessment covering tax readiness, financial health, business credit, compliance and capital readiness. It is not a Dun & Bradstreet score, not PAYDEX, and not a D&B rating. It is not provided to or used by any lender, supplier or bureau in any decision, and it has no standing outside our own reporting to you.

Financing

Meridian Advisor is not a lender and not a loan broker. We do not submit financing applications without your explicit instruction. Where we introduce a client to a financing source, the nature of that relationship and any compensation we may receive is disclosed to you in writing before the introduction is made.

Tax advice is provided by qualified professionals within the scope of a signed engagement letter. Nothing on this website constitutes tax, legal, accounting or investment advice, or creates a professional relationship. Content is general and may not apply to your circumstances.
